Rievaulx Lovers

Founded in 1132, In the valley of the River Rye, Rievaulx Abbey is the first monastery built in the North of England by the reforming Cistercian monks in the twelfth century.
The decline began in the fourteenth century with the Black Death and Henry VIII's divorce.
There are extensive remains of the vast Gothic church and other monastic buildings.

All memberships will be accepted.

Only Rievaulx art will be displayed.
